Wajik Sirat

Salam,

I have something new to offer, Wajik Sirat.

Wajik Sirat is made of coconut, beras pulut and sugar.

This wajik sirat is actually not made by me. It’s from my kampung at Melaka. It’s considered as Projek kampung to help people increase their income. Apart of wajik sirat, they also make regular dodol (dodol biasa) and durian flavoured dodol (dodol durian). The picture of dodol is not included here since it’s already finished. hehehe… I’ll update later.

Price: RM18.00/kg

I have tasted the 3 of them. The Wajik Sirat is very nice. Not too sweet and the texture not so hard. Just nice. I like it. And the dodol pula very chewy and not too sweet. The taste of durian memang terserlah. Pendek kata, memang best lah! Kalau nak tahu, kena try sendiri…!

The reason I am doing this is to help them promoting their products to get broader market exposure. This is not only for small orders, but also for large orders.

You can start placing orders now and it will be available after Hari Raya Aidil Adha: from 9th December 2008 onwards. To those yang nak bawak balik kg before raya tu I minta maaf banyak2 sebab I will collect it during raya nanti. But to those who are going to have Open House this coming Raya, don’t forget to add some traditional favour to your menu by having Wajik Sirat and Dodol; besides lemang and ketupat ya : )

Please note that this will not be available during festive season only but the whole year. To those who cannot decide now, it’s okay. I will keep some stocks after this.

Also, I have received a few feedbacks regarding the icing that it’s too sweet for adults. But I have to tell you children like the icing… hehe…

After experimenting some recipes plus, trial and error session, I have found/created new recipe that is less sweet, but not too runny(cair)… I can guarantee you this… and from now on I will use that recipe for all my cupcakes. Especially, to those who healthy conscious or having low level of sugar intake.

I know some of my customers like the sweet version icing. Don’t worry, just let me know if you want the sweet version. But by default, I will use the not-so-sweet version icing.

This one also a last minute order and he mentioned that design is up to me. Hence, above is the result.

I am personally not really satisfied with the design actually. But what to do, it’s all I can think. He did mention that the cupcakes is for his children in KK so I decided to make animals theme for one of the box. And the other 2 boxes, I did simple flowery & lovey-dovey theme. I hope he is okay with the theme.

Itik Gembo-Gembo…

I have a story about this one.

I received a call from a guy who wanted 3-D ducks to be put on top of the cupcakes. He said he wanted itik gemok2 macam itik Digi. Initially, I didn’t want to accept the order since I already full with other orders and I am not good at figurine yet. Furthermore, he called me dah lambat. But since, he beria-ia nak order so I just said yes sebab dah tak sempat fikir panjang dah at that time. Kepala dah agak messy masa tu..

So, I pun buat la macam yang dia nak. But I forgot the most important thing when dealing with fondant. The figurine needs to be dried in several days. So, on the pick up day some of the ducks dah terkulai kepalanya. The ducks is not dried properly. Pity him…

So to people out there, please… please… please… place your order early and do not make me accept your last minute order to avoid things like this happen again.

This order came all the way from Izza, Australia for her parents anniversary. Design/theme requested by her is Growing Love.

Delivery to Sri Melur

The cake was delivered to Sri Melur, Kg Melayu Ampang. An order from Mimie for her auntie. Although I am not so familiar with that area, plus with heavy rain but Alhamdulillah, I managed to find the house quite easily. Tahu-tahu dah sampai depan rumah dah.

Hope you guys doing good out there, at work or at home.

Recently I am quite busy due to customers orders, as well as personal matters. So I really hope to get your co-operation so that I can manage my time, my schedule and your orders better.

Today I would like to stressed on a few things:

Orders:

Small orders - at least 1 week before

Large orders - at least 2 weeks before

with full details via email

For small orders, please place the order at least one week before the chosen date and for large orders, please place the order at least 2 weeks before. But if you have the exact date earlier than that, please book the date earlier. The earlier, the better.

Also, please provide me with the full details. You can find it in “Order’ page. This will save my time, as well as yours. Please send your orders via email to sweetyummycupcakes@gmail.com / dida@mysweetyummy.com. No SMS please…

Payment:

Small Orders - at least 5 days before

Large Orders - at least 2 weeks before

No cash-on-delivery (COD)

For small orders, please make payment at least 5 days before the chosen date and large orders, full payment is to be made at least 2 weeks before. The order will be canceled if no payment is made within the time mentioned. And no cash-on-delivery (COD) except for Fast Sale.

Account details will be provided upon confirmation. Payment can be made via internet banking (Maybank2u / CIMBclicks) or through Cash Deposit Machine.

Normally, I will not remind customers about the payment. So I hope you take your full responsibility to make the payment ya. No payment means no cupcakes.

Actually it happened a few times when I already buy & prepare everything but at the very last minute the customer cancel the order or just didn’t turn up at all. When this happened, I have to bear the losses. I hope you guys understand my situation.

Recently, there was a case where the customer has paid through Cash Deposit Machine and according to the bank officer the transaction is successful. But I didn’t receive the money. Actually, I never faced this situation before. May be the bank has system issue that day. In this case, I will not bear the cost or any losses incurred and I will cancel the order unless I receive the full payment. This thing really need to be cleared up with the bank.

Collection time:

Monday - Friday: 9am - 10pm

Saturday & Sunday: 9am - 1pm

For self pick-up, map will be provided upon order confirmation or you can view it in page “Order” that you can find at the top of the website. The map is quite straight forward because even foreigner pun can arrived to my place safely. So, I think there’s no issue with that. Pick-up time as below. I will not entertain any pick-up earlier or later than that.

One more thing, if you are late or cannot come on the specified date/time please contact me to arrange new date & time. Please don’t let me tertunggu-tunggu kat rumah sorang2. It is somehow mengganggu kerja-kerja I yang lain.

Also, as I mentioned here pick-up is to be done at my place so it means my place, as per the map given. I will not take any instruction to go somewhere else to bring the cuppies for you.

Delivery:

Saturday & Sunday only: 10am- 5pm

From today onwards, I can make delivery during weekend only and the time is from 10.00am until 5.00pm. No delivery will be made earlier or later than that. If you insist the delivery to be made on weekdays, please consult me.

Contact me:

Anyone who wants to contact me, please contact me during regular hours only. I would say paling lambat pun 10pm la. Later than that, your calls/SMS might not be entertained on that day. Wait for the next day.

Okay to all my customers, I really hope to get your full co-operation on this.
